Good morning lovelies, I hope you are well and have found yourself getting into some sort of routine. I took a week or so off from blogging as I have found these past few weeks a little difficult. I think that’s one for another blog post though. Today I am going to be sharing my 7-step evening skincare regime.
Evening Skincare Regime
Following a skincare regime on an evening is probably more important than following a strict morning regime. During the night your skin absorbs nutrients fond in your products a lot better than they do during the day. It then works on repairing itself. During the day your skin becomes prone to environmental elements that build dirt and oil on the surface of the skin (GROSS, we are all human though!). Then there’s the build-up of makeup which, if not removed properly, clogs up the pores and stops the whole repairing process. The perfect regime should concentrate on helping the skin repair and hydrate to keep your complexion clear and skin firmer.
However, a daytime routine is also beneficial as this helps to help create a protective layer. They both go hand-in-hand in keeping the skin looking restored, bright and hydrated. If you would like to see the steps I take and the products for my morning routine please go to my Morning skincare regime post.
The 7 steps I follow help remove makeup, dirt and oil and keep my face hydrated and firm. PS. Get to the end to find out some exciting news!

Step 1- Gentle Exfoliator
Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash
I use this Exfoliator on a daily basis. It’s more like a face wash than it is an Exfoliator. It’s not harsh on your skin, it’s also super cheap! I use this when I am in the shower.
Step 2: Oil based Cleanser
Super Facialist- Rose Hydrate Oil
This Oil Cleanser is fab! It smells lovely and you only need two pumps to cover your face and neck. I usually warm it up with my hands first then I rub it onto my face and my neck. I do this as soon as I get out of the shower and leave it on while I put my body creams and PJs on. This is to allow my skin to fully absorb the Oil so it can get into those impurities. I then wet my face cloth and wipe away the oil. I don’t use this every night. I only use it when my skin is extra dry or if I have been wearing makeup and want to make there are no traces on my skin. You can leave it on over night for a deeper treatment.
Step 3: Toner
Mario Badescu- Glycolic Acid Toner
This is my new favourite toner. I was using the Pixi Glow Tonic. They both use Glycolic Acid but this one is a little cheaper and smells nicer. I use this as soon as I have wiped off the oil. I soak a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face and neck. It may tingle when you first start using it. It reduces build-up which causes the skin to look tired and dull.
Step 4 Serum 1
The Ordinary- LACTIC ACID 5% + HA
This is by far my favourite skincare brand at the moment. The Ordinary is super cheap but their products do exactly what they are meant to do. I apply two drops to my hands and rub my hands together and apply it to my face and neck. Lactic Acid offers very mild exfoliation and restores a bright, even tone and smooth texture to your skin. The Ordinary website has developed a guide on how to combine their products and what they do, click here to find out more.
Step 5 Facial Oil
Monu Skin- Fiji Facial Oil
I received this Oil in one of my Glossy Boxes a while back and have only just started using it. I pour a little bit into my hands and rub them together to warm the product. I then rub it into my face and neck. You only need a little bit of this Oil as it goes a long way. I then leave it on.
Skip 6 Eye Cream
Sebamed- Anti-Ageing Lifting Eye Cream With Coenzyme Q10
I love this Eye Cream! I received it in one of my Glossy Boxes.. again. I will definitely be buying this again as I think for the price, it’s a great product. I only need a little bit at the end of my finger. I then rub it under my eyes and then start to dab it in. It also dries very quickly, I have noticed with some eye creams it takes a while for the skin to soak up the product. My blog post, All eyes on me- Glossy Box talks about this product as well.
Step 7 Moisturiser
Super Facialist- Hyaluronic Acid Firming Super Lift Night Cream
Any product with the words Hyaluronic Acid on them, I am there. This also smells really good. It’s an overnight recharge to help nourish and smooth the skin. Every evening, I take a small amount and rub into my face and neck. I like this product however, I think I prefer the Vitamin C night cream by Super Facialist. I talk about this product on my April’s Product Empties post.
Are there any products you would like me to try?
I am really enjoying these products at the minute, especially the eye cream! My regimes change all the time as I like to test out different products, there’s just so many to try.
I have a guest blog post about how to have a spa day in the comfort of your own home- you can find this here. This is the perfect way to wind down after a long day.
